What Glide offers
Glide documents its own Tables, external data sources, AI features and workflows. Its capabilities extend beyond displaying a Google Sheet.

Chromoly’s approach
Chromoly plans an AppSpec blueprint and compiles supported pages, records, APIs and workflows through a shared runtime. Its dependency map shows relationships and classifies proposed changes as Safe, Affected or Breaking. These are static checks with documented limits, so you still test the result. How change review works.
Where each may fit
Try Glide when its data sources, components and workflow editor fit your app. Try Chromoly when you want to describe a supported website or business system and review changes through its saved blueprint. Use real layout and data requirements in both trials.

Chromoly offers a free preview trial with 500 one-time credits. Planned Starter is €99/month with 1 published app, 10 internal users and 1,500 monthly credits. Builder is €249/month with 3 apps, 100 internal users and 2,500 monthly credits; Pro is €699/month with 10 apps, 500 internal users and 6,000 monthly credits. App and internal-user allowances apply across the account. Managed has custom pricing following a discovery call. The initial build, ongoing service and included credits are agreed in the proposal. Review planned pricing. Compare total cost for your workload, including building, changes, hosting, runtime AI, integrations and support. Credit units are not interchangeable between providers.
Check each vendor’s current plan and contract before purchasing. Hosted infrastructure and hands-on application maintenance are different services.
Frequently asked questions
Does Glide require a spreadsheet as its database?
No. Glide documents Glide Tables as well as external data sources. Choose and test the appropriate data setup for your workload.
How should I compare reliability?
Use representative records, roles and integrations. Test a failed action, a change to an existing app and recovery. Product architecture or a marketing comparison alone cannot establish reliability.
