Terms of Service

Last updated: October 4, 2026  ·  Chromoly

01

Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Chromoly platform and services. By creating an account or using Chromoly, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

The platform is operated by Chromoly ("Chromoly", "we", "us", "our"). Our platform is accessible at chromoly.io.

If you are using Chromoly on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" refers to that entity.

02

Definitions

03

Account Registration

Platform access is by invitation under a Managed service or Partner agreement. When accepting an invitation, you agree to:

We reserve the right to refuse registration or terminate accounts at our discretion, particularly where we believe the Terms are being violated.

04

Service Description

Chromoly is an AI-powered platform for building and maintaining websites, portfolios, internal software, in-app AI agents and automations. The Platform enables businesses to create CRMs, approval workflows, invoice trackers, onboarding systems, ops dashboards, and AI-powered automations, without a development team.

Managed service is for businesses that want Chromoly to build and maintain their apps. Partner access is for agencies and consultants delivering apps to their clients. Both have custom pricing, with scope and availability agreed after a call. There is no public signup or self-service trial.

The Platform includes a dependency manifest, health monitoring, preview environments before every change, and role-based access controls. Supported external access is configured separately; generating an app does not grant an external client access.

05

Plans and Pricing

Managed service and Partner access both have custom pricing. Contact us to arrange a call. Your agreed proposal or order sets the price, currency, scope, hosting, usage allowances, support and any included credits. Checkout confirms credit-pack prices before purchase. Existing signed agreements are not replaced by changes to this website’s offer descriptions.

Paid plans allow unlimited saved preview apps within credit and storage allowances. The app limit applies only to concurrently deployed apps, including reserved deployment slots. Unpublishing frees a slot after hosting cleanup succeeds and preserves saved app data. Scheduled automation, outbound sending and autonomous background agents require a live deployment. Already-dispatched requests may finish. Deletion does not refund credits. Internal-user limits apply separately to each app and include the owner and pending internal invitations. External portal customers do not count as internal users. Credits are shared across the apps on your plan.

Monthly subscription credits reset on your billing day and do not accumulate. Unused purchased credits carry over to subsequent months; monthly credits are used first. Purchased and included credits provide the same usage per credit, but purchase prices can differ between subscriptions and top-ups. Credit-pack prices are disclosed before purchase.

Credits cover billable builds, edits, AI requests and workflow execution. Consumption depends on the task, selected model and applicable usage rate. A credit allowance does not guarantee a fixed number of builds, messages or automation runs. Review the credit quote before starting a build or edit and monitor recurring usage in your account. Supported app complexity and the required service scope are agreed before work starts.

Hosting: Paid plans include hosting within the resource limits disclosed for the plan. Storage, traffic and workflow execution are not unlimited. Any additional capacity or charges require a separate disclosed purchase or agreement.

Bring your own key (BYOK): Where available, BYOK applies to supported in-app AI. Your provider bills those AI requests directly; Chromoly does not also charge credits for that provider usage. Building and editing continue to use Chromoly credits. Subscription fees and platform resource limits still apply. BYOK availability and supported providers are shown before connection; connecting a key does not override the selected processing mode.

We reserve the right to modify plan pricing and credit allocations with 30 days notice. Changes will not apply mid-cycle on active subscriptions.

06

Billing and Payment

All payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment details, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for your subscription.

We do not store card numbers. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe under their own terms and security standards.

07

Cancellation

Subscriptions: You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for the current period except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed in your order.

Data export: You may request a full export of your System data at any time by contacting hello@chromoly.io. Data exports are provided within 14 days of request. Following account closure, all data is purged within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

08

Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you store in your Systems on the Platform. We do not claim ownership of your content, configurations, or data.

By using the Platform, you grant Chromoly a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We may use anonymised, aggregated usage data (credit consumption patterns, feature usage frequency, system complexity metrics) to improve the Platform. This data does not identify you or your customers.

Portability and migration: If you choose to leave the Platform, on request we will provide:

Together, these allow you or another developer to rebuild your System on alternative infrastructure. The Chromoly runtime itself, including the workflow engine, dependency map, preview system, MCP server, monitoring, and multi-tenant infrastructure - is proprietary and is not transferred. This is the same arrangement as comparable platforms (Airtable, Retool, n8n Cloud, Supabase): you own your data and schema, we operate the runtime.

For details on how we handle personal data, please see our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.

09

API and MCP Usage

Chromoly does not offer an unrestricted public REST API. Supported MCP connections require owner configuration, explicit scope and the applicable approval controls. Use of available endpoints is subject to the following conditions:

10

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

11

Availability and SLA

We aim to maintain high availability of the Platform and will communicate planned maintenance in advance where possible. We do not guarantee a specific uptime percentage at this time.

Outages caused by third-party services (Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, AI providers), changes made outside of the Platform by the Customer, or force majeure events are outside our control.

We will communicate service incidents via email to the account holder and, where relevant, through in-platform notifications.

12

Intellectual Property

Platform IP: The Chromoly platform, including its software, design, technology, AppSpec format, dependency manifest system, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Chromoly. Nothing in these Terms transfers any Platform IP to you.

Your IP: The Systems you build, the AppSpec definitions you create, the data you store within your Systems, and any custom logic or workflows you configure are yours. You retain full ownership.

Generated code produced by the Platform as part of your Build is owned by you. You may use, modify, and deploy it freely, subject to any applicable open-source licences.

13

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chromoly and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business, or loss of goodwill.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under or related to these Terms or the Platform, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise - will not exceed the total fees paid by you to Chromoly in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Swedish law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

14

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chromoly and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

15

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

If you continue to use the Platform after the updated Terms take effect, you are deemed to have accepted the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform and cancel your subscription before the effective date.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect when the Terms were last revised.

16

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts.
